BELLATRIX NATURAL

Bellatrix Natural Monestir is a transparent, water-based stain-resistant protector developed to protect natural stone and other porous mineral materials without intensifying their color or adding shine. It is suitable for natural stone and slate, hydraulic mosaic, cement, stamped concrete, microcement, porous stoneware, and aged marble, both indoors and outdoors.

It is the ideal choice when you want to preserve the material’s original appearance. Unlike Bellatrix Wet Look, Bellatrix Natural is not formulated to darken the veins or create a satin finish.

The treatment penetrates the substrate and helps reduce moisture absorption and the appearance of household stains. It also helps prevent salt efflorescence, moisture stains, mold growth, and degradation caused by continuous exposure to the elements.

Monestir also attributes to it a strengthening action that helps reduce wear and premature aging of tiles and grout lines. When used outdoors, it reduces water penetration that can lead to deterioration and spalling associated with freeze-thaw cycles.

A particularly important feature is that it does not form a surface film. The treatment penetrates deeply and allows the material to continue breathing. Since it does not create a varnished layer, it also does not alter the flooring’s original slip-resistant properties. For this reason, Monestir considers it particularly suitable for outdoor areas, pool edges, and certain flooring in wet areas where preserving the natural texture is important.

The surface must be perfectly clean and completely dry. It is essential to remove dust, grease, cement residue, efflorescence, wax, old treatments, and any product that blocks the pores.

On older surfaces, a thorough cleaning may be necessary beforehand. Once washed, allow the surface to dry completely before applying Bellatrix Natural. Monestir recommends conducting a test application in an inconspicuous area to check absorption, drying time, and finish.

Use undiluted. Shake the container and pour a small amount into a clean container. Apply with a wide brush (approximately 20 cm), spreading an even, well-stretched coat over the tiles and grout lines. Do not leave puddles.

On very non-absorbent materials, especially outdoors, apply a small, very even amount. Excess product may cause whitish areas. If this problem occurs, Monestir notes that it may be necessary to strip the surface with Sanigel.

The approximate coverage is 8 to 12 m²/L, depending on absorbency. It dries to the touch almost immediately, although it reaches full effectiveness after approximately 24 hours. The recommended application temperature is between 5 and 35 °C, and tools should be cleaned with water.

To later touch up damaged areas, Monestir recommends performing a thorough cleaning—for example, with Sanet when appropriate for the surface—allowing the area to dry, and then reapplying Bellatrix Natural.
