View productRUBI DC-250 PYTHON electric tile cutter for porcelain tiles, with 1.5 CV, C3 PYTHON, ZERO DUST, and a cutting length of up to 134 cm.
The RUBI DC-250 PYTHON is a professional electric saw with a movable head, designed for intensive cutting of ceramic tile, glazed stoneware, and porcelain stoneware, as well as occasional cutting of natural stone. It combines a 1.5 CV motor, a rigid steel frame, adjustable C3 PYTHON cooling, and the ZERO DUST system, offering precision in straight, diagonal, repetitive, and miter cuts. The series is available in 850 and 1200 versions to accommodate different tile sizes.
The DC-250 PYTHON is designed for professional installers who need a wet-cut machine capable of routinely working with demanding ceramic materials. RUBI recommends this line for intensive cutting of glazed tiles and stoneware, working with porcelain stoneware, and occasional operations on compatible natural stone.
The motor assembly moves on bearings to provide stable and precise movement along the workpiece. On a long-bed saw, this system helps keep the blade properly guided throughout the entire cut and reduces deviations that can affect the final finish.
The motor uses direct drive, simplifying the transmission between the motor and the blade and providing the appropriate response for professional work with ceramic materials.
The DC-250 PYTHON features a miter cut function, allowing the head height to be adjusted and the blade to be lowered onto the workpiece. This feature expands the range of possible applications and allows for an increase in the effective length of certain operations compared to conventional cutting.
Capacity depends on the selected size. The DC-250 PYTHON 850 currently achieves a conventional cutting length of 85.5 cm and up to 98 cm when using the cut-off saw function. The DC-250 PYTHON 1200 achieves a cutting length of 121 cm according to RUBI’s current official website and up to 134 cm with the miter cut effect.
The miter saw function also allows for vertical cuts on a specific area of the workpiece without necessarily having to start from one of its ends.
Current versions of the DC-250 PYTHON can achieve a maximum thickness of 61 mm in a single pass and up to 90 mm in two passes, provided the conditions and configurations specified by RUBI are followed.
The cutting assembly can be tilted up to 45° to make mitre cuts. The movable head system allows this tilt to be combined with controlled feed along the length of the workpiece, facilitating the preparation of edges and ceramic joints.
RUBI’s technical documentation specifies that, when using certain special cutting plates, the maximum mitre thickness may be limited to 50 mm.
One of the most distinctive features of this machine is its C3 PYTHON cooling system. Unlike a completely fixed water supply, it allows you to adjust the point where the water falls based on the thickness of the workpiece.
The goal is to direct the water directly toward the effective contact area between the blade and the material. Properly adjusted cooling helps control the blade’s temperature, improve cutting conditions, and reduce unnecessary water splashing around the machine.
The DC-250 PYTHON incorporates RUBI’s ZERO DUST system to reduce the presence of respirable dust particles generated during cutting. This system works in conjunction with wet cutting to limit dust dispersion in the operator’s work area.
RUBI’s technical documentation specifies exposure limits that allow for up to three hours of continuous work on ceramic tile and up to one hour on natural stone under the system’s test conditions.
The machine incorporates a blade alignment system using an adjustment screw. This mechanism allows for adjustments to the assembly’s position when necessary to maintain a proper cutting path.
Proper alignment is especially important for long cuts, as even a small deviation can become more noticeable as the cutting distance increases.
The DC-250 PYTHON features an aluminum mitre that is adjustable between 0° and 60°. It also has a side stop to facilitate jobs requiring multiple cuts of the same size.
This configuration allows the machine to be used for both standard straight cuts and angled cuts, as well as for series of pieces that must maintain the same dimensions.
The series uses diamond blades with an outer diameter of 250 mm and a 25.4 mm shaft. RUBI also includes a safety guard compatible with TURBO and SEGMENTED blades suitable for the machine.
The technical documentation for the series specifies a CEV SUPERPRO Ø250 blade for standard configurations and a CPA SUPERPRO Ø250 blade for part number 56949.
The choice of blade must always be based on the material to be cut. Using a blade suitable for porcelain, ceramic, or other materials directly affects the cutting speed, finish quality, and service life of the consumable.
The DC-250 PYTHON features a steel frame designed to provide rigidity during head movement. The support tables are removable, facilitating access to areas where water and cutting debris accumulate.
Although the folding legs and wheels make it easy to move around a construction site or workshop, this is a professional machine of considerable size and weight, especially in the 1200 version.
The product line is primarily divided into the DC-250 PYTHON 850 and the DC-250 PYTHON 1200. Both share the same design, 1.5 CV motor, 250 mm blade, C3 PYTHON system, ZERO DUST technology, and cutting thickness capacity, but differ in length, maximum diagonal cut, dimensions, and weight.
The 850 version is designed for users who need the professional performance of the DC-250 PYTHON but do not regularly work with pieces that require the longer cutting length of the 1200 model. Its smaller size and lighter weight also make it easier to handle compared to the higher-capacity version.
DC-250 PYTHON 850 220 V 60 Hz · Ref. 56937 · EAN 8413797569377
DC-250 PYTHON 850 120V 60Hz INCH · Ref. 56911 · EAN 8413797569117
For Ferragut Stores, the main part number for the 850 version is 56941 (230 V, 50 Hz).
The 1200 version is designed for working with larger-format tiles. It significantly increases the longitudinal capacity compared to the 850 model while maintaining the same movable head design, power, and cooling and dust control systems.
DC-250 PYTHON 1200 120V 60Hz INCH · Ref. 56914 · EAN 8413797569148
For Ferragut warehouses, the most relevant part numbers are 56939 and 56949, both designed for 230 V and 50 Hz power supply. The most significant difference between these two configurations is the included diamond blade.
The choice between the DC-250 PYTHON 850 and 1200 depends primarily on the maximum size of the pieces to be cut. Both models offer 1.5 CV, use 250 mm blades, and have the same primary cutting thickness capacities.
The 850 version is more compact, weighs 54.5 kg, and allows cuts of up to 98 cm using the miter cut function. The 1200 version weighs approximately 59.5 kg but can achieve cuts of up to 134 cm according to RUBI’s current product specifications.
The machine must be kept free of ceramic debris and slurry generated during cutting. The removable tables facilitate this operation and allow for better access to the lower areas.
It is important to periodically check the condition and alignment of the cutting disc, keep the cooling circuit clean, and ensure that water is properly reaching the cutting area. The condition of the bearings and the head’s movement should also be checked to maintain smooth and precise operation.
