View productThree-in-one concentrated alkaline cleaner for degreasing, removing organic stains, and stripping wax from porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, unpolished stone, concrete, and clay.
FILA PS87 Pro is a highly versatile concentrated alkaline detergent that can be used as an intensive degreaser, stain remover, and stripper, with its concentration and application method adjusted depending on the specific problem to be addressed.
It is suitable for unpolished porcelain tile, ceramic tile, natural stone, and terrazzo; concrete; hydraulic mosaic; clay; extruded stoneware; and certain linoleum and PVC flooring.
It is particularly useful when the dirt to be removed is organic or greasy in nature, in contrast to Deterdek Pro, which is primarily designed to tackle mineral and cement-based residues.
PS87 Pro allows you to clean floors where oils, greases, and layers of dirt have accumulated that a conventional maintenance detergent cannot remove.
For intensive cleaning and degreasing, FILA recommends diluting it to a ratio of approximately 1:10 to 1:20. Apply the solution to the surface and let it sit for about 4–5 minutes.
During this time, the alkaline formulation begins to emulsify and loosen the greasy contamination.
It should then be worked in using a brush, a suitable scouring pad, or a single-disc machine. The loosened dirt is best removed with a wet vacuum or a cloth, and the surface is finally rinsed thoroughly with water.
When the surface has particularly stubborn buildup, a stronger concentration—approximately 1:5—may be used.
Another specific application is the treatment of localized stains on porcelain tile.
FILA indicates that PS87 Pro can remove food and beverage residues, grease, marker pen stains, dyes, and other organic stains.
For this type of treatment, use the undiluted product, applying it not only to the small spot of dirt but also to the entire affected tile to minimize visible differences after cleaning.
Allow it to sit for several minutes. If necessary, leave it on until it dries completely. Then remove the residue and rinse thoroughly with water.
Very old stains may require repeating the procedure.
PS87 Pro also functions as a stripper to remove various finishing treatments, including water-based waxes, metallic waxes, self-polishing waxes, natural waxes, and old wax coatings.
For stripping, FILA typically recommends a 1:5 dilution.
The solution is applied evenly and allowed to sit for about 10 minutes to soften the wax layer.
It is then scrubbed using a hand brush, scouring pad, or single-disc machine. The resulting liquid must be completely removed, and the floor rinsed thoroughly with plenty of water before applying any new protective treatment.
On materials such as certain natural stones and cement-based products, using an acid intended for post-construction cleaning can damage or alter the substrate itself. In these cases, PS87 Pro offers an alkaline alternative for deep cleaning prior to certain treatments.
FILA also specifically recommends it for hydraulic mosaic and cementitious surfaces, provided the manufacturer’s instructions are followed and a test is performed beforehand.
In addition to grease and waxes, FILA recommends its use for removing:
Residues from protective treatments applied by some manufacturers to technical porcelain tiles.
Drops or small spots of acrylic paint.
Mild residues from epoxy grout.
Layers of heavily adhered organic dirt.
For significant or hardened epoxy residues, the specialized product in the line is CR10, which we discussed earlier.
Its alkaline nature explains its effectiveness against grease and organic contaminants.
Intensive maintenance 1:20: approximately 200 m²/L.
Wax stripping 1:5: approximately 20 m²/L.
Initial stone cleaning 1:5: approximately 30 m²/L.
These values illustrate the difference in consumption between diluted cleaning and stripping, which requires a considerably higher concentration.
After intensive cleaning, it is not enough to simply mop and let it dry. The solution contains the grease, wax, and dirt that the product has loosened.
For this reason, a wet vacuum is particularly useful for professional jobs. Mechanically removing the contaminated water before rinsing reduces the risk of dirt redepositing on the floor.
Afterward, always perform a thorough rinse with clean water.
Do not use on marble or polished stone.
Do not use on wood.
Do not apply to methacrylate bathtubs.
Do not use on resin shower pans.
On linoleum, a resistance test must be performed beforehand.
Although PS87 Pro is not acidic, its high cleaning power and alkalinity can affect certain treatments or delicate materials.
Within the FILA line, each product has a specific purpose:
This distinction is especially useful for post-construction cleaning, where different types of residue may be present simultaneously and not all respond to the same cleaner.
