FILA DeepClean is a ready-to-use limescale cleaner designed to solve one of the most common problems in bathrooms and wet areas: the gradual buildup of limescale on shower screens, faucets, toilets, wall tiles, and washable surfaces.

Unlike a concentrated construction-grade cleaner such as Deterdek Pro, DeepClean is formulated for direct and frequent bathroom maintenance. It requires no measuring or preparation: it comes in a spray bottle and is applied directly to the surface.

It is suitable for porcelain tile, ceramic tile, mosaic tile, glass, stainless steel, faucets, and chrome-plated fixtures.

Hard water gradually leaves mineral deposits on surfaces. On glass and shower enclosures, these typically appear as whitish halos; on faucets, they dull the chrome finish; and around sinks and toilets, they can form rings and more noticeable buildup.

DeepClean is specifically formulated to attack these limescale deposits and help restore the surface’s original appearance and shine.

FILA emphasizes that it effectively removes limescale without leaving rings or dull spots when used correctly.

A particularly practical feature is its active foam formulation.

When sprayed onto a shower enclosure, faucet, or vertical surface, the foam remains on the area for a few seconds rather than running off immediately. This allows for contact time with the limescale deposit and enables targeted cleaning.

This feature sets it apart from highly fluid liquid cleaners, especially on shower walls and glass partitions.

DeepClean is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

Spray onto the surface you wish to clean.

Let it sit for a few seconds.

Scrub and rinse with a damp sponge.

No extended contact time is needed. During routine maintenance, frequent removal of light deposits prevents limescale from forming thick encrustations that are much harder to remove.

The surface temperature during application should be between 5 and 30 °C.

Shower enclosure glass is one of the product’s most effective applications.

Water droplets left on the glass gradually evaporate, leaving behind carbonates and other minerals. Over time, white stains appear and the glass loses its clarity.

Regular use of DeepClean removes these residues before they form deeply encrusted layers, helping to preserve the glass’s clarity and simplifying shower maintenance.

FILA expressly states that DeepClean does not damage the stainless steel of faucets when used according to instructions.

This allows you to use a single product to remove limescale from both tile surfaces and faucets, showers, and certain metal fixtures in the bathroom.

Rinsing with a damp sponge should be done carefully to remove both dissolved limescale and any detergent residue, especially around joints, aerators, and seams.

It can also be used on tiles, ceramic wall tiles, porcelain tiles, and glass mosaic or gresite.

The foam is particularly effective on grout lines and wall mosaics, where the geometry of the pieces creates numerous joints where limescale and soap tend to accumulate.

It should be noted, however, that DeepClean is primarily a limescale remover. For grout lines that are deeply blackened by dirt, there are specific products such as FugaNet, which we will discuss later.

FILA states that the formulation is safe for methacrylate bathtubs, which is important because certain acidic cleaners or solvents can damage or dull plastic bathroom surfaces.

Even so, you should always follow the bathroom fixture manufacturer’s instructions when dealing with special materials or unusual finishes.

In addition to removing limescale, FILA describes DeepClean as a product that cleans and deodorizes, leaving a scent of white moss and mint.

Its purpose is not to apply a wax or polish. The shine is restored primarily by removing the limescale deposits and residues that were dulling the surface.

The formula also contains biodegradable ingredients.

Do not use on polished marble or on acid-sensitive materials.

Polished limestone can react chemically with a limescale remover, causing loss of shine, dull spots, or surface damage.

FILA also advises caution around acid-sensitive glazed surfaces, ensuring the product does not accidentally drip onto them.

If there is any doubt about the nature of a surface, a small preliminary test should be conducted on an inconspicuous area.

Although both products tackle limescale, their uses differ.

Deterdek Pro is a professional-grade concentrated detergent designed for post-construction cleanup, cement-based residues, and major descaling jobs. It requires determining the dilution ratio, monitoring the contact time, using mechanical scrubbing, and performing a thorough rinse.

DeepClean is designed as a ready-to-use limescale remover for bathroom maintenance, featuring a spray applicator and taking effect in just a few seconds.

Therefore, it makes much more sense to use DeepClean for the frequent maintenance of shower enclosures or faucets and to reserve Deterdek Pro for much more intensive technical jobs on compatible surfaces.

FILA recommends a storage temperature between 5 and 30 °C. The product must be kept properly sealed, out of the reach of children, and any unnecessary discharge into the environment must be avoided.
