The combined handmade tile from Ladrillerías Mallorquinas is a decorative system consisting of a combination of “navetas” and square handmade tiles. The basic composition uses four 15 × 30 cm “navetas” arranged around a central 15 × 15 cm tile.

This combination allows for the creation of repetitive geometric patterns and flooring with great visual richness. It is particularly well-suited for projects where the floor plays a central role, such as entryways, patios, porches, terraces, living rooms, or commercial spaces with a handcrafted aesthetic.

The alternation between elongated and square pieces creates a more complex pattern than that of a conventional floor. The design can be repeated uniformly across the entire surface or used to create decorative areas, borders, and compositions similar to ceramic rugs.

The combination recommended by the manufacturer consists of four oblong tiles and one central square tile, although the orientation can be adjusted to create different patterns. Before placing an order, it is advisable to prepare a layout plan and calculate the quantities of each piece separately.

It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Since this is a hand-laid paving, it is best to mix the pieces to distribute variations in shade and texture. Its components have been tested in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 10545-2, UNE-EN ISO 10545-3, and UNE-EN ISO 10545-4.
