Tornillo TN

Fine-threaded self-tapping screw for fastening gypsum board to metal studs.

Tornillo TN · Knauf

General Description

The Knauf TN Screw is a metal-to-sheet metal screw designed for fastening laminated gypsum boards to metal substructures. It features a fine, self-tapping thread that facilitates quick and secure penetration into the profiles used in drywall partition systems, wall linings, and ceilings.

Its design allows the panel to be securely fastened to the framework and ensures that the head is properly countersunk into the surface without damaging the paper face. This allows the screw to be covered with joint compound during joint treatment to achieve a uniform finish.

It is suitable for installing interior walls, wall cladding, and suspended ceilings using laminated gypsum boards and a metal framework. The length should be selected based on the thickness and number of boards to be installed, ensuring sufficient penetration into the profile.

Product Variants

TN 25 mm: typically recommended for simple fastenings with a single panel.

TN 35 mm: suitable for systems requiring greater anchorage length.

TN 45 mm: designed for configurations with thicker cladding.

TN 55 mm: intended for multi-layer solutions or fastenings requiring greater depth.

The 25, 35, and 45 mm versions are supplied in boxes of 1,000 units, while the 55 mm variant is supplied in boxes of 500 units.

To ensure proper installation, the screw spacing, distance from the edges of the panel, and screw-in depth specified for each Knauf system must be observed.
