Knauf board for passive fire protection systems.
Description and Details
Composed of a gypsum core mixed with glass fibers ranging from 3 to 30 mm (0.2% of its weight) and faces covered with cardboard sheeting. Easily identifiable by its pink visible face and cream-colored hidden face. The Cortafuego board is characterized by its high fire resistance, while retaining the handling advantages of a Standard board.
Product Properties
Manufactured in accordance with UNE EN 520, the Knauf Cortafuego board is classified as Type DF.
Cardboard color (exposed side): pink.
Red labeling ink.
Good gypsum cohesion at high temperatures.
Easy to work with.
Non-combustible.
Can be curved (12.5 mm board only).
Minimal shrinkage and swelling due to temperature changes.
Not suitable for areas with permanent moisture or for partitions containing internal fluid lines.
Applications
Knauf Fire-Rated panels can be used indoors as a finishing layer for drywall systems where greater fire resistance is required.
