Description
Mapelastic AquaDefense Zero by Mapei is a single-component, elastic, fast-drying liquid membrane supplied ready to use. Once dry, it forms a waterproof layer ready for the installation of ceramic tiles, mosaic, or stone.
Main Applications
It is suitable for waterproofing bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, saunas, balconies, and terraces before installing wall or floor coverings. It can be applied to concrete, screeds, and cementitious renders, interior gypsum boards, and properly prepared existing wall or floor coverings.
Ease of Application
Its blue paste is applied with a long-nap roller, brush, or trowel on horizontal, vertical, or sloped surfaces. It requires no mixing of components, which simplifies preparation and reduces errors on-site. It is EN 14891-certified as a waterproofing product applied under finishes. It is part of the Zero line, with Mapei offsetting its declared residual greenhouse gas emissions through certified environmental credits.
