Description
Mapei’s Mapeflex PU65 is a two-component, fluid, and pourable polyurethane sealant designed to fill technical joints and encapsulate cables installed in road pavements.
Main Applications
It is used in joints intended to house cables, sensors, or other elements embedded in concrete pavements or road surfaces subject to traffic. Its fluid consistency allows it to completely fill the joint and encapsulate the installed components, preventing voids.
Preparation and Variations
It can be mixed with Quarzo 0.5 aggregate up to a maximum ratio of 1:1 by weight, adjusting the volume, consistency, and behavior of the fill. Mapei also offers the option of accelerating curing using a specific accelerator. This is a specialized product intended for use on roads, airports, and infrastructure, and should not be confused with a conventional sealant for expansion joints in buildings. Substrate preparation, mix proportions, and application must strictly follow the system’s technical data sheet.
