Description
Mapecoat I 620 W by Mapei is a two-component, water-based epoxy finish designed to create smooth, glossy, and durable coatings on cementitious substrates and resin systems.
Main Applications
It is used as a dust- and oil-resistant treatment on interior concrete floors, in garages, warehouses, workshops, parking lots, and work areas. It can also be used as a topcoat over compatible epoxy coatings, providing a uniform, protected surface that is easier to clean.
Performance and Application
Its water-based formulation makes it suitable for indoor use and allows for a seamless finish with good resistance to foot traffic and routine maintenance. It is typically applied with a roller to clean, sound substrates that have been properly primed. The mixture has a pot life of approximately 40 minutes, begins to form a film after about three hours, sets in 8 to 9 hours, and is open to foot traffic in about 24 hours.
