Description
Mapei’s Latex Plus is a liquid elasticizing additive designed to be mixed with certain cementitious adhesives and mortars, fully or partially replacing the mixing water. Its addition improves adhesion and provides greater deformability to the prepared product.
Main Combinations
When mixed with Keraquick S1, it produces a high-performance, fast-setting, and highly deformable cementitious adhesive classified as C2F S2. This combination is suitable for installing ceramic tiles and stone materials on substrates subject to movement, vibration, or thermal changes.
It can also be mixed with Nivorapid or Planipatch, improving the elasticity and adhesion of these ultra-fast leveling and repair mortars.
Setting Times and Packaging
With Keraquick, the mixture remains workable for about 30 minutes, allows for foot traffic after 2–3 hours, and is ready for use in approximately 24 hours. Latex Plus is supplied in 10-kg containers and must be protected from freezing.
