ECO PRIM GRIP PLUS

Mapei’s Eco Prim Grip Plus is a universal adhesion-promoting primer formulated with water-based synthetic resins and selected aggregates. It is designed to prepare interior and exterior surfaces prior to the application of plaster, self-leveling mortars, render, or cementitious adhesives.

Its granular texture creates a rough surface with good grip, facilitating the adhesion of subsequent layers to smooth, compact, or low-absorbency substrates. With proper preparation, it can be used on concrete, existing ceramic tiles, terrazzo, natural stone, and other firmly adhered coverings.

Eco Prim Grip Plus is supplied ready to use; it is virtually odorless, solvent-free, and has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), with an EMICODE EC1 Plus classification. It is easily applied with a roller or brush, and work can resume approximately 15–20 minutes later for plaster, or between 30 and 60 minutes for leveling compounds and cementitious adhesives, depending on the temperature, humidity, and porosity of the substrate.

It is a particularly practical solution for renovations and installations over existing coverings, as it improves adhesion without necessarily requiring more aggressive surface preparation.
