Tornillo LB

Metal-to-metal self-tapping screw for fastening Knauf profiles and substructure components.

Tornillo LB · Knauf

General Description

The Knauf LB Screw is a self-tapping and self-drilling screw designed to join metal components in the substructures used in drywall systems. Its drill bit tip facilitates direct drilling through sheet metal and allows for installation without the need for pre-drilling.

It is suitable for connecting steel profiles and other components with thicknesses ranging from 0.7 to 2.25 mm. It can be used in metal structures for interior walls and ceilings, where a secure fastening between profile components is required.

Its flat head helps reduce the protrusion of the joint and facilitates the assembly of components without unnecessarily interfering with subsequent elements of the system. As this is a metal-to-metal screw, it is not designed to directly fasten gypsum board to the profiles.

The LB Screw stands out for its fast installation, good penetration into the sheet metal, and a stable connection between substructure elements. To ensure proper fastening, it must be used only within the range of metal thicknesses specified by Knauf and in accordance with the construction system’s specifications.

The available version is 9.5 mm long and comes in boxes of 1,000 units.
