The house begins at the horizon
Some homes reveal themselves when you cross the threshold. Eliseo and Sophie’s home begins a moment earlier, when the road finishes climbing and Port d’Andratx opens below. Up here, the bay is not simply a view: it changes with the hours, enters through every window and quietly organises life inside.
Eliseo and Sophie arrived with many references, intuitions and wishes. They did not want to erase Mallorca and build an imported interior. They wanted something different that still belonged here: calm and warm, with personality, but never a collection of gestures competing for attention.
A thousand ideas, one home
The starting point was neither a tile nor a colour. It was a conversation. When someone arrives with a thousand ideas, our job is not to agree a thousand times. It is to understand what lies behind every saved image, which feelings keep returning and which are only passing enthusiasms.
Supporting a renovation means entering someone else’s taste respectfully. It also means warning them when two beautiful choices may become tiring together. Some decisions seduce for five minutes and weigh on a home for years. The difference lies in saying so in time, explaining why and finding an alternative that still feels personal.
The work was carried out by Maartpol Serwis S.L. The conversation between the owners, the building team and the material selection allowed every decision to become part of one whole rather than an isolated purchase.
Advice is not deciding for the client. It is helping them recognise the home they were already imagining and protecting it from everything that might distract from it.

Materia / 02 An imperfection chosen with care
To give the home character, we chose a highly varied tile. Its surface shifts and never repeats in quite the same way. What might have felt daring in a small sample became the thread connecting each room with the roofs, rock and mountain tones outside.
Everything else needed room to breathe. Clean furniture, monochromatic paint and restrained decoration bring clarity. Bronze acts as warm punctuation, while rounded forms soften the mineral strength and keep the composition from becoming severe.
The trace of the hand
The bathrooms make the idea tactile. Basins and worktops carry the presence of worked natural stone without being over-refined. Their edges retain relief, shadow and a slight irregularity. You can sense that a hand, a tool and time were involved.
This texture meets floating timber furniture, backlit mirrors and bronze fittings. The luxury is not a polished surface no one dares touch. It is coming closer and seeing how light catches the stone edge.

From interior calm to the bay
The sequence explains the central idea better than any plan: the interior carries the eye until the landscape takes over.
Never compete with this view
From the living room and terrace, Port d’Andratx fills the frame. The temptation would have been to answer with more design, colour and objects. We did the opposite. The interior palette steps back so the blue can enter without asking permission.
Curved sofas turn the body towards the windows. A round table keeps the dining area conversational without turning away from the bay. Even the floor appears to continue towards the roofs and hillside. The house does not frame a postcard; it learns to live with a landscape that never stands still.

This is where Ferragut is different
A home like this cannot be resolved by opening a catalogue and waiting for someone to point at a page. It comes from listening, comparing samples, imagining the late-afternoon light and understanding which material should speak and which should remain quiet.
At Almacenes Ferragut, details matter because we know what happens after the purchase. A joint, a tone, the meeting of two textures or the finish of an edge can alter an entire room. Our value is in turning many small decisions into one idea that holds together.

A home that belongs to Eliseo and Sophie. And, somehow, to Mallorca too.
The original ambition was demanding: to create something different without losing its Mediterranean character. The result does not need to choose. It has strength and calm, texture and simplicity, a character of its own and a natural bond with its setting.
