OXICLEAN

Neoquim Oxiclean is a concentrated, acid-based professional deoxidizer formulated with inorganic acids, nonionic surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, and additives. It is designed to dissolve rust from metal surfaces while simultaneously removing dirt and scale. It can be used on iron, steel, and certain metal alloys, and is particularly useful for maintenance, restoration, and preparing parts before painting. It has an approximate density of 1.30 g/cm³ and a pH of 0.5 ± 0.5 when undiluted.

It can be used undiluted or diluted up to a 1:10 ratio with water. Neoquim recommends concentrations of 75–100% for heavy rust removal, 50–75% for moderate rust removal, and 10–30% for maintenance or pre-painting preparation. It can be applied by spraying, brushing, or even immersion, either at room temperature or at temperatures up to approximately 60 °C.

After a few minutes of action, rinse thoroughly with water. If painting will not be done immediately, Neoquim recommends neutralizing any remaining acid with sodium bicarbonate or an alkaline cleaner. For pre-painting preparation, this step may be omitted by following the manufacturer’s instructions.
