Description

More Plastic and Workable Mortars

Neoquim Neoplast is a plasticizer and air-entraining additive for cementitious mortars, formulated from wetting surfactants and functional compounds. Its purpose is to significantly improve the workability and flow of the mortar, facilitating mixing, spreading, and placement operations without the need to excessively increase the amount of water.

Reduced water content and segregation

The controlled incorporation of air and its plasticizing effect allow for a reduction in mixing water, increased plasticity, and a decreased tendency toward segregation. These properties help produce more homogeneous mixes that are easier to work with and, according to Neoquim, can also improve the material’s final strength by avoiding unnecessary water additions.

Ultra-Concentrated Product

Neoplast is particularly notable for its high concentration. Neoquim states that 1 liter can treat up to approximately 8,000 kg of cement, depending on the dosage used. The product should not be diluted beforehand: it is added directly to the mixing water, never to the dry mix. The maximum dosage recommended by the manufacturer is 5 g of Neoplast per 25 kg of cement, to be adjusted based on the required workability.

These characteristics make it particularly suitable for masonry mortars, plastering, rendering, and general construction work, where the goal is to achieve a creamier, more homogeneous, and easier-to-spread mixture using very small amounts of additive.
