MICROPRIMER - Promotor de adherencia

Neoquim Microprimer is a specialized primer for low- or non-absorbent substrates, designed to improve the adhesion of subsequent coatings on materials where a liquid membrane might have difficulty adhering properly. Neoquim recommends it for vitrified tile, porcelain tile, marble, glass, and other polished or low-porosity mineral surfaces.

Its use is particularly important before applying Imperlatex PU Clear to glazed ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, or polished stone. In this system, Neoquim estimates a coverage rate of 40–50 m²/L and recommends allowing Microprimer to dry for approximately 15–30 minutes at most before proceeding with waterproofing. This creates a bonding layer without adding unnecessary thickness.

The substrate must be completely clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, wax, silicones, efflorescence, or previous treatments that could reduce adhesion. The primer should be applied in a thin, even coat, avoiding excess or buildup.

Microprimer is particularly useful in the restoration of already paved terraces, where the goal is to waterproof without removing the existing paving. It can also be used in other compatible systems on solid substrates, always following Neoquim’s instructions. Its function is not to waterproof on its own, but to ensure the adhesion of the subsequent treatment on difficult surfaces.
