HIDROMAS - Aditivo hidrofugante liquido para morteros y hormigones

Neoquim Hidromas is a liquid water-repellent additive for mortars and concrete designed to be incorporated directly during mixing. Once added, its components migrate into the material’s capillary pore network and become anchored during the hardening process, providing water-repellent properties from within the mortar or concrete itself.

Its primary function is to impede the capillary movement of moisture without completely sealing the porous structure of the substrate. In this way, the material retains its ability to allow water vapor to pass through, while simultaneously reducing direct moisture absorption. This characteristic helps reduce the occurrence of efflorescence and limits certain degradation processes related to the continuous presence of water.

Hidromas has a high concentration of active ingredients, so even small amounts provide a significant water-repellent effect. Neoquim states that its use does not significantly alter essential properties of concrete, such as compressive strength, setting time, or workability. Furthermore, it can be combined with other common additives, including accelerators, retarders, and rheological modifiers.

It is particularly useful for exterior mortars, screeds, concrete elements, facades, and projects exposed to moisture, especially when protection is to be incorporated during the mixing process itself rather than through a subsequent surface treatment.
