SellaCeys Alta Temperatura

SellaCeys High Temperature is a black, single-component, acetoxy-curing silicone formulated to seal joints exposed to high temperatures without losing flexibility. It is suitable for metal flue ducts, industrial furnaces, range hoods and stoves, heaters, steam pipes, hot water lines, and engine gaskets. Upon reacting with ambient moisture, it cures to form an elastomeric seal that is resistant to heat, oils, and vibrations.

CEYS specifies a temperature resistance range of -60 to +250 °C for continuous service and peaks of up to +300 °C for a maximum of 72 hours, provided the seal is at least 2 mm thick. It has a density of 1.00–1.05 kg/l, elastic recovery greater than 98%, a Shore A hardness of approximately 33, and elongation at break of 500%. It dries to the touch in about 5 minutes, and the curing rate is approximately 4.5 mm in one day and 6.8 mm in three days.

Surfaces must be dry, clean, and free of dust or grease. Apply with a spray gun, properly filling the joint and smoothing it before a skin forms. Do not expose to high temperatures during the first 24 hours. Not recommended for use on marble, mirrors, or metals susceptible to corrosion from acetic curing, such as copper, brass, or iron.
