Aguastop Antihumedad

CEYS Aguastop Anti-Moisture is a technical membrane that is impermeable to liquid water and permeable to water vapor, designed to treat walls and ceilings affected by condensation, leaks, or moisture rising from the subsoil. It withstands hydrostatic pressure and counterpressure and helps prevent spalling and damage related to efflorescence. It can be used in basements, garages, cellars, bathrooms, kitchens, and other damp areas, as well as on concrete, mortar, brick, plaster, stucco, render, and gypsum board.

The product is white with a matte finish, has an approximate density of 1.33 kg/l, a solids content of 70% ±2, and an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C. It can even be applied to porous substrates with moisture content below 10%. It must not be used on non-absorbent or non-porous surfaces, nor should it be diluted. Once dry, it can be covered with plaster or painted with breathable acrylic or silicate paints; finishes that block vapor transmission should be avoided.

The substrate must be prepared by removing dust, salt efflorescence, mold, deteriorated paint, and crumbling material. Stir the product and apply it with a brush or roller in two cross-hatched coats. CEYS recommends approximately 0.5 kg/m² per coat, allowing 6 to 8 hours for drying between coats. It is recommended to wait at least 12 hours before painting over it. Cracks wider than 3 mm must be repaired beforehand.
