View productFireproof mortar for building and repairing fireplaces, ovens, and barbecues exposed to temperatures up to 750 °C.
Ampliar Beissier Refractory Mortar is formulated for building and repairing structures subjected to high temperatures, such as chimneys, ovens, and barbecues. It can also be used for leveling, installing, and grouting refractory ceramics, terracotta, and concrete blocks that will be exposed to high temperatures. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, withstands temperatures up to 750 °C, and offers a compressive strength of 15 N/mm² or higher. Additionally, Beissier exhibits resistance to sulfates, chlorides, and acids with a pH greater than 4; its fire resistance is classified as A1.
It is composed of aluminous cement and aggregates, is gray in color, and has a particle size of less than 300 µm. It is prepared with approximately 0.25 liters of water per kilogram of product, mixing until a consistent, lump-free paste is obtained. After letting it rest for 5 minutes, remix it. The mixture has a working time of about one hour at 20 °C and can be applied with a putty knife, trowel, or float in layers up to 20 mm thick. Its approximate coverage is 1.5 kg/m² per millimeter of thickness.
The substrate must be firm, dry, clean, and free of dust, grease, efflorescence, or poorly adhered coatings. The approximate drying time is 24 hours at 20 °C. Beissier recommends waiting one week before exposing the repair to heat and gradually increasing the temperature during the first day of use.
