Mortero Impermeabilizador BME 18002 / 180 L

BME 18002 / 180 L Waterproofing Mortar is a two-component cementitious system consisting of 20 kg of powder component and 8 L of liquid component, designed to create a flexible waterproof membrane on mineral substrates. It is suitable for terraces, balconies, bathrooms, showers, swimming pools, rooftops, baseboards, planters, basements, garages, exterior walls, and non-potable water tanks. It can also be applied over ceramic tile and certain properly prepared wood-based panels.

The system is watertight against both direct and indirect pressure, offers high adhesion, and accommodates the substrate’s expansion and contraction movements thanks to its elasticity. It also offers resistance to freeze-thaw cycles and helps prevent efflorescence. It is classified according to UNE-EN 14891 as a liquid waterproofing membrane and is certified to have crack-bridging resistance of ≥ 0.75 mm.

It is applied in layers of approximately 2 to 4 mm, with a pot life of 2–3 hours at 20 °C and an approximate coverage rate of 1.8 kg/m² per millimeter of thickness. Initial drying takes about one day; Beissier recommends waiting about 5 days before tiling or painting and about 7 days to achieve full waterproofing.
