General Description
Bonding Between Substrate and Coating
SikaTop®-50 is a single-component, water-dispersed acrylic resin primer. It is used prior to applying cementitious mortars, plasters, and stucco, improving their adhesion to porous mineral surfaces.
Typical Applications
It can be used on concrete, mortar, brick, stone, fiber cement, and other absorbent materials. It is suitable for walls and ceilings in cladding, repair, and renovation projects, whether using on-site mixed products or pre-mixed mortars.
Extended Open Time
It comes ready to use and is applied with a brush, stiff-bristled roller, or spray gun, forming a continuous film. One of its main advantages is that it retains its tackiness for an extended period, so the cladding does not have to be installed immediately. It must be applied to clean, firm substrates free of standing water, and should not be used on completely impermeable or non-porous surfaces.
