SikaSwell® S-2

SikaSwell® S-2 is a one-component polyurethane sealant that swells upon contact with water. Its consistency allows it to be applied with a spray gun and adapted to irregular surfaces, creating an active seal at points where leaks might occur.

It is suitable for sealing non-moving construction joints, pipe penetrations, and complex intersections in walls and slabs. It is also used as an adhesive to secure SikaSwell® A and SikaSwell® P profiles prior to concrete placement.

It exhibits good adhesion to concrete and other common substrates, provided they are sound, clean, and properly prepared. Its expansion is controlled to prevent damage during the hardening of fresh concrete. When used as an adhesive, the profile must be pressed onto the freshly applied product to ensure full contact. Sika recommends allowing it to cure for at least 12 hours before pouring concrete.
