SikaSeal®-403 Heat Cement

SikaSeal®-403 Heat Cement is a single-component inorganic sealant, formulated with sodium silicate, for sealing joints and connections subjected to very high temperatures. Once exposed to heat, it cures to form a rigid, non-combustible bond.

It is suitable for refractory bricks, chimneys, flue ducts and pipes, fire grates, stoves, furnaces, and stone elements exposed to heat. It adheres well to most mineral building materials and requires no primer or activator.

It is supplied ready to use and is applied with a caulking gun to clean, firm surfaces that have been lightly moistened to improve adhesion. It does not sag in vertical joints and forms a skin in approximately 20 minutes. It withstands operating temperatures from −10 °C to +1,250 °C, is asbestos-free, and comes in 300-ml cartridges.
