SikaLatex®

SikaLatex® is a synthetic styrene-butadiene emulsion that is mixed with mixing water to improve the performance of cement mortars and grouts. Its addition increases adhesion to absorbent or smooth substrates, such as concrete, stone, brick, ceramic, glass, and ferrous metals.

It is suitable for preparing bonding bridges and adhesive grouts, repair and reprofiling mortars, plastering, coatings, flooring, tiling, roof tile installation, and general masonry work. It is also useful in mortars subject to wear or where dust formation needs to be reduced.

It improves the plasticity and workability of the mortar, increases its elasticity and tensile strength, and helps reduce the risk of cracking. In addition, it increases water resistance and resistance to abrasion and certain chemical agents. For mixing, Sika recommends preparing a mixture of approximately one part SikaLatex® to two parts water.
