Sikalastic®-1K

Sikalastic®-1K is a single-component, polymer-modified, fiber-reinforced cement-based mortar. It only needs to be mixed with water and provides a waterproof barrier capable of bridging small cracks in the substrate.

It is suitable for waterproofing bathrooms, showers, balconies, patios, and swimming pools before installing ceramic tile. It can also be used on tanks, underground walls, basements, and concrete or masonry surfaces that require protection against water.

Its consistency can be adjusted for application with a brush or trowel, even on vertical surfaces, where it exhibits good resistance to sagging. It adheres to properly prepared concrete, mortar, stone, and masonry and can be reinforced with alkali-resistant mesh at joints, cracks, or areas subject to greater movement. The substrate may be damp, but must not have standing water.
