General Description
Professional Sealing of Building Envelopes
SikaHyflex®-250 Facade is a single-component, low-modulus polyurethane sealant developed to provide long-lasting waterproofing for movement joints and connection joints in facades. Its high elasticity allows it to absorb significant deformations without transmitting excessive stress to the edges.
Facade Applications
It is suitable for interior and exterior joints in concrete, masonry, EIFS or SATE systems, precast elements, and joints around doors and windows. It can also be used in multi-story buildings and areas subject to harsh weather conditions.
Movement and Durability
It offers a movement capacity of ±25% according to ISO 9047 and +100%/−50% according to ASTM C719. It exhibits good adhesion to numerous materials, low odor, and high resistance to aging. Expansion joints should typically be between 8 and 40 mm wide and use a suitable joint backer. It is supplied in 300-ml cartridges and 600-ml tubes.
