Sikagard®-705 L

Sikagard®-705 L is a ready-to-use, single-component water-repellent impregnation formulated with 99% active silanes. It penetrates absorbent concrete and reduces water ingress without forming a surface film or impeding vapor diffusion.

It is suitable for building and civil engineering structures exposed to chlorides, carbonation, de-icing salts, and freeze-thaw cycles. It is particularly useful on facades, parking garages, bridges, piers, and reinforced concrete elements near the sea, provided they are not submerged.

It can penetrate to a depth of more than 10 mm and helps delay the onset or progression of corrosion by reducing available moisture and hindering chloride access to the reinforcing bars. It is applied using a low-pressure sprayer, brush, or roller, typically in two or three coats. Its approximate coverage is 150 g/m² per coat.
