General Description
High-Performance Sealing for Indoor and Outdoor Use
Sikaflex®-522 is a one-component adhesive and sealant featuring silane-terminated polymer technology. It is designed to create elastic joints and durable seals in vehicles, RVs, ventilation systems, equipment, and industrial assemblies.
Materials and Applications
It exhibits good adhesion to wood, glass, metals, painted surfaces, ceramics, and certain plastics, generally requiring minimal surface preparation. Its resistance to aging, ultraviolet radiation, weathering, and mold makes it suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Hygiene and Performance
Its formulation has very low emissions and odor and contains no isocyanates, solvents, or phthalates. It meets hygiene requirements for ventilation and air conditioning systems and is certified for incidental contact with food. It forms a skin in about 30 minutes and is available in 300-ml cartridges and 600-ml unipacs.
