Durable Weather-Resistant Sealing
Sikaflex®-521 UV is a one-component, elastic adhesive and sealant based on silane-terminated polymer technology. It cures through exposure to ambient moisture and is characterized by its high resistance to aging, ultraviolet radiation, and outdoor weather conditions.
Applications and Materials
It is suitable for interior and exterior sealing and for adhesive joints subjected to low or moderate stress. It is used in vehicles, RVs, industrial equipment, ventilation systems, metal components, and outdoor installations. It offers good adhesion to metals, painted surfaces, wood, ceramics, and numerous plastics.
Application Benefits
Its broad adhesion range reduces the need for pretreatment on many substrates, although compatibility should always be verified. It forms flexible joints, can be painted over with compatible systems, and offers good color stability. It is applied to clean, dry surfaces free of grease, dust, or contaminants.
