Specialized Metal Bonding
Sikaflex®-117 Metal Force is a one-component construction adhesive specifically formulated for bonding and sealing metal components. It offers high stability when in contact with metals, including copper, and withstands outdoor exposure.
Materials and Applications
It is suitable for copper, brass, bronze, anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, corrugated iron, and sheet metal. It can be used on metal cladding and facades, roofing elements, skylights, and building components. It also adheres to concrete, masonry, ceramic, wood, and glass.
Application and Performance
Its consistency prevents sagging and allows for the application of beads, dots, or strips on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It cures at a rate of approximately 3 mm per 24 hours and withstands operating temperatures between −40 °C and +80 °C. It is available in 290-ml cartridges and is light gray in color. For heavy or elevated elements, temporary supports or mechanical fasteners must be used.
