SikaFiresil® Marine N

SikaFiresil® Marine N is a fast-curing, one-component, neutral-cure, non-corrosive silicone sealant. Once cured, it forms a soft, elastic seal with high fire resistance, even when exposed to a nearby heat source.

It is suitable for interior sealing on vessels and other marine applications where low flame spread is required. It exhibits good adhesion to numerous materials, although preliminary tests should be conducted to verify compatibility and adhesion on each substrate. It meets the requirements of the FTP Code, Part 5, established by the International Maritime Organization.

It is applied using a manual, pneumatic, or electric caulking gun onto clean, dry, and grease-free surfaces. It forms a skin in about 15 minutes and withstands operating temperatures between −40 °C and +150 °C. It is available in 300-ml cartridges and is light gray in color. It cannot be painted once cured.
