General Description
Waterproofing and Tile Installation
SikaBond® T-8 is a single-component, elastic polyurethane adhesive that creates a waterproof layer and allows tiles to be installed using the same product.
Areas Exposed to Water
It is suitable for balconies, terraces, loggias, kitchens, bathrooms, and other surfaces regularly exposed to moisture. It can be applied to concrete, mortar, anhydrite screeds, and properly prepared existing ceramic tile surfaces.
Two-Coat System
The first coat is spread continuously with a metal trowel to a thickness of approximately 2 mm and acts as a waterproofing layer. Once cured, a second coat is applied with a notched trowel to bond the ceramic tiles. Its elastic behavior reduces transverse stresses, compensates for minor substrate irregularities, and reduces the transmission of impact noise. The floor can be walked on approximately 12 to 24 hours after installation.
