Sika® ThermoCoat-4 ES

Sika® ThermoCoat-4 ES is a white fiberglass mesh with anti-alkali treatment, designed to reinforce the mortar layers of exterior thermal insulation systems.

Its function is to distribute stresses across the entire surface, preventing concentrations that could cause cracks. It also improves resistance to thermal shock and absorbs minor movements caused by temperature changes. It is especially recommended in accessible areas or those exposed to higher mechanical stresses.

It must be completely embedded in the first fresh layer of Sika ThermoCoat®-1/3, avoiding folds, air pockets, or uncovered areas. Adjacent pieces should be laid with a minimum overlap of 10 cm. In the corners of openings, it is recommended to add diagonal reinforcements, and in areas subject to traffic, a second mesh may be used. It is supplied in rolls measuring 1 × 50 m.
