General Description
Adhesion and Installation of Insulation
Sika ThermoCoat®-1/3 is a single-component cementitious mortar, enhanced with resins and additives, developed for the installation of exterior thermal insulation systems. It is used both to bond insulation panels and to level their surface and embed the fiberglass mesh.
Compatible Substrates and Materials
It allows for the installation of EPS, polyurethane, cork, fiberglass, or mineral wool panels on concrete, cementitious mortars, blocks, and masonry. Its thixotropic consistency facilitates manual application and minimizes sagging on vertical surfaces.
Application and Performance
It offers high adhesion, impact resistance, impermeability to rainwater, and vapor permeability. For installation, it is applied in two coats, with the alkali-resistant mesh embedded in the first fresh coat. It is available in 25-kg bags, in gray or white, and is mixed with approximately 6–6.5 liters of water.
