Preparation of Porous Substrates
Sika® Primer-3 N is a single-component, transparent, solvent-based primer developed to improve the adhesion of Sika adhesives and sealants to common building materials.
Main Applications
It is particularly suitable for porous substrates such as concrete, mortar, brick, and aerated concrete. It can also be used on certain metals, including copper, titanium, zinc, and brass, provided the recommended surface preparation for each material is followed.
Application and Drying
Apply a single thin, continuous coat using a brush or roller to a clean, dry, sound surface free of dust, grease, or loose particles. Its water-repellent properties help limit the presence of moisture in the bond area. Before applying the adhesive or sealant, allow a minimum curing time of approximately 30 minutes and a maximum of 8 hours. It should not be used as a cleaning product or left exposed without subsequent sealing.
