General Description
Surface Preparation for Metal Surfaces
Sika® Primer-210 is a single-component, colorless or slightly yellowish, solvent-based primer. It reacts with ambient moisture to form a thin layer that acts as a bond between the substrate and the adhesive.
Metals and Applications
It is specially formulated to improve adhesion to aluminum, steel, and other non-ferrous metals. It can also be used with certain Sikasil® adhesives and sealants in industrial applications, window manufacturing, light construction, transportation, and marine applications.
Professional Application
The surface must be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, or loosely adhering debris. Apply a single thin, even coat using a brush, felt pad, or foam applicator. Allow the specified open time to elapse before applying the adhesive. For materials susceptible to stress cracking or with unknown coatings, it is necessary to first verify compatibility and bond quality under actual conditions.
