Description

Primer for Multiple Surfaces

Sika® Primer-207 is a black, solvent-based primer that reacts with moisture to form a thin film between the substrate and the adhesive. It is designed for surface preparation prior to the application of Sika single-component polyurethanes.

Main Applications

Improves adhesion to float glass, ceramic-coated glass, plastics, painted surfaces, electrophoretic coatings, industrial primers, and metals. On many substrates, it can provide adequate bonding without the need for separate pretreatment.

Application and Control

Shake until the pigments are completely homogenized, then apply a single coat using a brush, felt, or foam applicator to form a thin but opaque layer. The approximate coverage rate is about 50 ml/m², and it requires at least 10 minutes of air drying at temperatures above 5 °C. The product exhibits temporary fluorescence under ultraviolet light, facilitating visual inspection of the application in professional settings.
