Sika® Plastiment®-1 M

Sika® Plastiment®-1 M is a ready-to-use, normal-setting liquid plasticizer and air-entraining additive for all types of cement mortars. It improves the workability of the mix, especially when using sand of inconsistent quality, and facilitates placement and finishing.

It is suitable for bedding mortars for brick or block masonry, plastering, rendering, and general masonry work. It can also be used in stabilized mortars, in combination with other compatible additives.

It allows for a reduction in mixing water, increases cohesion, and helps prevent segregation. The controlled incorporation of air improves the hardened mortar’s resistance to freezing and weathering, without altering normal setting times. It must be added to the mixing water, not directly to the dry mix. The recommended dosage is 0.1% of the cement weight when using a concrete mixer and 0.2% for manual mixing. It contains no chlorides.
