General Description
Reinforcement Protection and Bonding Bridge
Sika MonoTop®-1010 ES is a single-component, polymer-modified cementitious mortar developed to protect reinforcement from corrosion and act as a bonding primer prior to the application of repair mortars.
Main Applications
It is used in concrete repair systems when steel is exposed after restoration, as well as on concrete surfaces where improved bonding with the new mortar is required. It is suitable for interior and exterior use in building construction and civil engineering projects.
Application and Performance
It only needs to be mixed with water and can be applied by brush or wet spraying. It offers good adhesion to concrete and steel, as well as resistance to water and chloride penetration. Its formulation incorporates corrosion inhibitors and recycled raw materials, reducing its carbon footprint compared to mortars with equivalent performance. It is available in 4-kg containers.
