High-Performance Structural Reinforcement

Sika® CarboDur® E is a pultruded carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer laminate designed to increase, restore, or improve the load-bearing capacity of structures. It is bonded to the substrate from the outside using Sikadur®-30 epoxy resin, forming a lightweight, low-thickness reinforcement system.

Main Applications

It is used to reinforce slabs, beams, bridges, and other structural elements affected by increased loads, changes in use, reinforcement corrosion, impacts, or design and construction defects. It also helps reduce deflections and deformations, create openings in floor slabs, remove walls or columns, and improve structural response to vibrations, fatigue, or seismic loads.

System Advantages

It offers very high strength, excellent durability, and good fatigue resistance. It does not corrode, is easily transported in rolls, and can be supplied in continuous lengths without joints. Its thin gauge facilitates the crossing and overlapping of steel sections, even on roofs, with relatively minimal preparation and installation.
