Sika Boom®-584

Sika Boom®-584 is a single-component polyurethane adhesive foam, applied with a gun, specifically developed for bonding roof tiles, roofing components, and certain panels. It replaces mortar in many applications, reducing installation time and the added weight on the roof.

Its expansion allows it to conform to uneven surfaces and fill small voids. It provides strong initial tack, good adhesion to a wide range of building materials, and resistance to aging and wind loads. Its minimal post-cure expansion helps keep the components in their intended position.

Apply in beads onto a slightly damp substrate; the roof tiles must be installed within the first few minutes. A 750-ml can yields up to 55 liters or approximately 14 m² of adhered roof tiles, depending on application conditions. It can be cut after about 30 minutes and reaches full cure in approximately 24 hours.
