Ampliar Description
Joints Subject to Movement
Sika Boom®-558 Flex is a flexible, self-expanding, single-component polyurethane foam applied with a gun. It is specially designed to fill joints around doors, windows, and other building envelope elements where movement may occur.
Low Pressure and Stability
Its low curing pressure and minimal post-cure expansion reduce the risk of warping frames during installation. Once cured, it maintains good dimensional stability, with no significant shrinkage or expansion, and its flexibility allows it to better accommodate joint movement.
Insulation and Finish
It also helps improve thermal insulation and reduce the transmission of sound and noise. It can be used in both interior and exterior applications and, after curing, can be cut, sanded, and painted. It comes in a 750-ml aerosol can with a safety valve and must be applied with a suitable spray gun to clean, firm surfaces that are free of dust or grease.
