Sika Boom®-550 Fix & Fill

Sika Boom®-550 Fix & Fill is a single-component, self-expanding, ready-to-use polyurethane foam designed for application with a gun. This system allows for precise control of the product’s flow and facilitates continuous filling and repetitive tasks.

It is suitable for insulating and filling cavities, sealing joints around doors and windows, and filling pipe openings and pipe penetrations. It can be used indoors and outdoors and offers good adhesion to numerous building materials, while also contributing to thermal insulation and reducing noise transmission.

The surface must be clean, firm, and free of contaminants that could reduce adhesion. The foam is touch-dry in approximately 8 minutes and can be cut after about 60 minutes. A 750-ml aerosol can yields approximately 34 liters or about 27 meters of 20 × 50 mm bead. Once cured, it can be cut, sanded, and painted, but should not be permanently exposed to UV radiation.
