Sika® Bitumix

Sika® Bitumix is a cold-applied asphalt mix composed of mineral aggregates and a modified bituminous binder. Its plastic consistency allows for the repair of potholes, ruts, and damaged areas without heating the material or using special equipment.

It is suitable for patching work on highways, streets, garages, parking lots, local roads, and around manholes or storm drains. It can be applied to bituminous substrates and slightly damp surfaces, easily adapting to the shape of the pothole and the existing grade.

The product is poured directly onto the surface, spread out leaving a slight excess, and compacted until it is level with the pavement. In traffic areas, it can be covered with sand to prevent it from sticking to tires. It allows for immediate reopening to traffic, and its approximate consumption is 2.1 kg/m² per millimeter of thickness. It can also be painted with Sikafloor®-2020 after the curing time specified by Sika.
