Ampliar Description
Preparation of Non-Porous Surfaces
Sika® Aktivator-205 is a colorless, fast-drying adhesion promoter formulated to prepare surfaces prior to the application of Sikaflex® and Sikasil® adhesives and sealants. It reacts with moisture and deposits active groups that improve the bond between the substrate and the products applied afterward.
Compatible Substrates
It is suitable for metals, plastics, ceramic screen prints, and painted surfaces. Preliminary testing is recommended on sensitive materials or those prone to stress cracking, especially when compatibility is unknown.
Application and Precautions
Apply once using clean, lint-free paper lightly moistened with the product. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or oil. The approximate coverage is 20 ml/m², and it requires a curing time of at least 10 minutes and no more than 2 hours. It should not be used on porous substrates, as a general-purpose cleaner, or applied in excess.
