General Description
Mapei’s Ultrabond Turf 2 Stars is a two-component, solvent-free, fast-setting polyurethane adhesive formulated to bond artificial turf rolls using joint strips.
Main Applications
It is particularly suitable for sports fields and synthetic surfaces subjected to high mechanical stress, both indoors and outdoors. Its high tensile and tear strength allows it to be used in systems approved for sports facilities. It can also bond rubber rolls within certain Mapecoat TNS systems.
Application and Performance
Components A and B are mixed in a 90:10 ratio. The mixture remains workable for about 30 minutes and has an open time of 40–45 minutes. It is applied with a No. 3 or 4 notched trowel over 40-cm-wide joint strips. Approximate coverage is 0.4–0.5 kg per linear meter. It is open to traffic after 12–24 hours and is available in 15-kg packages in green, red, or white.
