PRIMER MF

Mapei Primer MF is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy primer developed to strengthen cementitious substrates and create a barrier against residual moisture.

It is particularly suitable for use prior to installing parquet, plank flooring, and other wood flooring systems over cement-based screeds or substrates with residual moisture levels exceeding those permitted by the flooring system. It can also be used to strengthen weak, porous, or poorly bonded screeds and as a primer for certain continuous flooring systems.

The two components must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous resin is obtained. It is applied with a roller, brush, or trowel, spreading it evenly over a clean, solid substrate. When used as a moisture barrier, apply the number of coats specified by the system. The final fresh coat may be dusted with quartz sand to facilitate adhesion of subsequent cementitious products. Coverage depends on the substrate’s absorbency and the intended application.
