PRIMER G

Mapei Primer G is a water-based synthetic resin primer formulated to prepare absorbent substrates before applying adhesives, leveling mortars, plasters, or coatings.

It is suitable for interior surfaces made of plaster, stucco, gypsum board, cement-based screeds, anhydrite, and other porous mineral substrates. It regulates the substrate’s absorbency, prevents the water in the mixture from being absorbed too quickly, and promotes uniform adhesion of subsequent layers. It also chemically isolates plaster surfaces before applying cementitious products.

It is applied with a brush, roller, or by spraying, either undiluted or diluted depending on the type and absorbency of the substrate. Approximate coverage ranges from 0.1 to 0.2 kg/m². Drying time depends on the dilution, porosity, and environmental conditions. It has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds and is available in various container sizes.
